Welcome to the Nerd family!
About your Nerd
Hi everyone! I’m Nicole — certified group fitness instructor, grain-grinding maker, and rink rat with a love for cycling and Raspberry Pi projects. I spend my days teaching and tinkering, and my nights skating under disco lights. And this… this is the Nerd Life Collective.
On my small homestead aka Nerdbird Farm, I’m joined by Marvin—the dog who thinks he invented Pilates—and a flock of sassy ducks. Together, we bring you a joyful mash-up of heart, hustle, and a whole lotta nerd.
Through the Nerd Life Collective, I’ve woven together all of my interests—skating, cycling, homemade bread made with freshly milled flour, faith, and tech—and turned them into something fun, purposeful, and people-centered. It’s wellness for real life, with a side of disco and a dash of whole wheat.
I’m a professor of Computer Science at Delta College, where I teach web development, programming, and Raspberry Pi maker projects. And, as you know, I’m currently working toward my Health Fitness Specialist degree and recently became a certified ACE Group Fitness Instructor. So, I bring a blend of tech, wellness, and education into this plan.
I’ve always been passionate about making things—whether it’s websites, workouts or homemade bread—and I think that wellness doesn’t have to fit into just one box. The Nerd Life Collective is a way to show that it’s okay to live outside the box… or even roll past it on skates.
